When the company Fieldturf began in 1988 they started with sports surfaces. One called NovaCourt was a synthetic grass for tennis courts and a second one became NovaTee which was a synthetic surface used around golf practice tees to minimize wear and tear.

With the initial success of the product they then further developed the product to be used for contact sports such as soccer, lacrosse, football and baseball.

Because of the way FieldTurf is manufactured sports injuries have been shown to be less as the sand and rubber infill system is very safe for all levels of players. While it looks like natural grass the cost benefits for upkeep are far less than those of a real grass playing surface.

Ambassador Philip Kapneck was instrumental in bringing the FieldTurf Company to Maryland. Kapneck is Maryland's Trade Ambassador.

Artificial turf is getting better than ever - and is probably very good for conservation too.

Artificial turfs are the choice of modern way of gardening for indoor and outdoor turfs available. Artificial turfs are very safe and very protective for kids and pets too. This synthetic grass is actually better than real grass. This artificial turf is really soft and shiny. Those who have invested in artificial grass testify that their kids love it. It saves them water, time, mowing and trimming. Not only that, even the pets love it. Since, artificial turf is fake grass – you not only save time and energy, you reduce your water bills as well.
